Our Values

The School Values and Code of Conduct were developed through consultation with students, staff, parents and community members. They define expected behaviours for the school community and reflect the culture of the school.

Values Description Key expectations
Care We value respect for self and others, show empathy, are inclusive and build positive relationships.

We:

  • work in partnership with school staff by following reasonable requests and demonstrate respect by using school-appropriate language
  • respect the rights of everyone to learn in a positive and safe environment
  • are positive upstanders by actively role modelling appropriate behaviours and solving conflicts calmly before they escalate
  • look after our school grounds and facilities by placing rubbish in the bin and using bathrooms appropriately
  • display respectful behaviour.
Engage We learn through connection, participation, contribution, and self-reflection.

We:

  • attend classes on time each day, ready to learn, wearing correct school uniform
  • use our technologies appropriately
  • ensure our phones and earphones are ‘off and away’ all day
  • reflect on and evaluate our successes and challenges whilst embracing opportunities offered
  • participate in activities at break times demonstrating fair play and house spirit.
Excel We set goals, maintain high expectations and embrace challenges that allow you to be the best version of yourself.

  • celebrate the effort and performance of all students
  • seek support and feedback to help embrace challenges and improve learning
