Course Description:
Applied Information Technology (ATAR) prepares students for a society that is increasingly reliant on Information Technology. Students will develop knowledge and skills that are essential for jobs of the future.
Content and skills included in the course are : hardware, software, networks and information technology product design and creation. Students will have an opportunity to create products such as videos, websites, animations, podcasts and presentations. Students gain essential life and work skills in problem solving, time management and communications skills while working both in dependently and collaboratively. This course provides an excellent general grounding in ICT skills necessary for future study aspirations and professional lives.
Course Assessment:
Project - 40%
Short answer - 15%
Extended answers - 15%
Examinations - 30%
